| | | The 406 MHz PLB transmits with a digitally coded unique identifier. Transmits on the 121.5MHz Homing signal. Small, lightweight unit can be easily packed or carried. Vinyl covered, flat, stainless steel antenna wraps compactly around product for easy storage and easily extended when needed or for testing. Floats to avoid loss if dropped in water, waterproof to 3.3 ft. Wrist lanyard ensures security when hand-held. Highly visible yellow case. Case and instruction label are oil, water and UV resistant with noncorroding components. Can be stored between -50°C and +70°C. Operating life - in excess of 24 hours @ -40°C, longer in higher ambient temperature. Heavy duty Class I "Cold Weather" battery (Lithium 5-year replacement life, 11-year useful life). Operation: lift switch up, slide right, push forward breaking tab. Certification: COSPAS-SARSAT, FCC approved. Model 2793 includes GPS interface - Recessed, waterproof GPS programming interface. Transmits GPS data for fastest response (NMEA 0183). And, full function self-test feature. The optional RapidDitch Pouch holds your PLB in the upright flotation position for a clean transmission signal. |
